If you prefer to communicate via email, please do so. Looking forward to hear from you. I’ll keep your messages confidential, and will ask for your permission if I want to publish specifics.
Feel free to send me an email with your questions, comments, suggestions. I want to hear from you non-IT people about your frustrations with computers and IT, successes and horror stories. Let me know if you want me to address some specific topic. Even if you just want to say hi.
Many “Web 2.0″ proponents will drone on and on how blogs are conversations, and how great it all is: one publishes a post, and people comment and/or post a response on their blog. I’ve even heard some proclaim email as dead.
This is all fine for a small group willing to talk things in public.
Computers are intimidating for most people. Many more would like to talk, ask, or suggest, but are afraid to look stupid in public. Blogs and comments just don’t work in those cases.
There’s a lot going on for good old two-way, private communication via email. In fact, email is still the best two-way communication medium on the Internet.
